Case Background:

Cesim İlhan, a reporter for Kurdistan24 Turkish service, faces charges of “spreading terrorist propaganda” over his social media posts.

At his third hearing on May 15, 2019, the earlier decision placing him under judicial control which requires him to sign in at a police station regularly was lifted, but his travel ban remains in force. İlhan attended the hearing via the judicial video-conference system SEGBIS from Istanbul.

His case has been adjourned until September 26, 2019.
